My facebookgroup “Music Against Animal Abuse“ is welcoming everyone, inviting all musicians, bands, composers, songwriters and DJ’s to share music, music videos and art for all to listen to, to see and to share to help making that difference.
Please feel free to upload songs and art you discover, with respect for the artist, which you think need to be seen and heard as well.
All art shared must have a clear musical voice for the animals and/or a clear musical voice against all kinds of animal suffering affected by inhuman actions.
The story behind “Music Against Animal Abuse” is the recent release of two songs, “De Confrontatie” and “Meat Is Murder”, both adaptations of the original “Meat Is Murder” by Morrissey and Marr in the wake of this anthem.
I can’t let the thoughts go:
If there is more music written against animal suffering out there, where is it? How come it is never played?
So let’s release more songs that could help make a difference or at least find the songs that might exist but seldom played. Let’s get these songs out there and let them be heard!
However I can’t do this on my own – I need your help. Everyone and every musician, band, composer, songwriter, DJ and lyricist please join in. Share your sympathy, your thoughts, your feelings in favor of the animals by uploading (your) music, new, covers or existing, in this group.
For all animals, for all humans…for the world.
Because we must.
Music and art shared in this group must have a clear voice for the animals and/or a clear voice against all kinds of animal suffering affected by inhuman actions.
Content that glorifies violence or worships the suffering or humiliation of all living kind is not allowed.
Sharing is deeply appreciated and your contribution will also be shared as a thank you on my personal profile.

Kae West : “As long as the horrors in all slaughterhouses and the maltreatment and suffering of animals for the slice of meat, fish and poultry on the plate, or for what ever other reasons exist, “Meat Is Murder”, the revealing truth-based song written by Morrissey and Marr and released by The Smiths in 1984, must be passed on. Besides “Meat Is Murder” there aren’t any songs about needless slaughter and abuse of animals to be found and that is a missed opportunity and a shame. For musicians, artists, bands, composers, songwriters are in strong position to give their musical voices and arts to the animals and through releasing music and art against animal abuse about all atrocities inside as well as outside the slaughterhouses, we are able to make that change for the animals, whom we should consider all as our friends.”
De Confrontatie, Kae West’s first release in native Dutch and Meat Is Murder are both covers of the original by The Smiths, which first appeared on the eponymous album in 1985, produced by The Smiths.
“Morrissey’s music is a great source of inspiration to me and my example when it comes to making music to
fight animal suffering.”
